Rock Star Birthday Party

One of the other parties that I hosted was a Rock Star Themed birthday party for my daughter.  As with all my parties, I had a blast in the planning.  The invitation was the best part!!  I made up little CD's with a VIP ticket.  The CD held all of the details of the party and the entire invitation fit inside a
clear CD case.

Invitation:
The entry way into our home was designed with a red carpet "Hollywood" style including the Hollywood signs and the walk of fame!!  Each little girl got their name on the walk of fame and they were all treated like the rich and famous!!
The cake was a very special one indeed!!  I made a guitar shaped cake!!  I am definitely not a baker, but I game this a whurl and it turned out not too bad if I do say so myself!!
I converted our garage into a theater complete with hair, makeup and a salon in order to get the little girls ready for their big debut.
Each girl moved from station to station until they were completely all decked out in rock star apparel.
The it was the main stage where when all was complete, all of the girls had an opportunity to sing and dance to their favorite tunes.  They had a great time!!

Baby Name Album

One of my other vices is crafting and scrapbooking.  I made an album for our friends little baby Ever.  I loved this book so much, that I actually made several of them for our other friends who have recently had babies.  I love the look of them and it also makes a wonderful keepsake for babies.

Pretty in Pink Baby Shower

Babies are such a blessing!!  My sister-in-law was expecting a little baby girl, and we wanted to bring her into this world in style.. what a better way to do that than throw a baby shower!!
The best party about a baby shower is the decor of course!!
The centerpiece on the table was made out of baby blocks with the baby name.  Then I added some of the 3D ultrasound photo's and added to them to a tent card.  On one side of the card was the baby pictures, and on the other side of the card was the menu for the luncheon.
Pink, pink and more pink!!  There were pink tissue paper pompoms and little tissue paper flowers along with pink and white candies that adorned the room.
The water bottles were made with special labels which made a great keepsake for the day.  The name tags were little pink diapers that each guest was to pin on.  And the little party favor giveaways were little pink and white mints.
Martini glasses with pink and white jellybeans and a pink wreath adored the door.  The pink cupcakes added the final touches.
My favorite thing to put together for this party was the diaper cake!!  I had a ton of fun purchasing the gifts, and I will admit, that rolling up all of those little diapers was a bit of a challenge, but elastics work great at holding them together.  I used some serving trays for the tiers for the cake.  I found some great idea's and directions on line which made it each to put together.
Triangle banners add a nice touch to any event, and because they are so easy to make, I use them often.  I just picked out the lettering in Word, and the printed them off and cut them out.
Very cheap and easy!!
By far I have to say that I had the most fun planning this
party for sure!!

My First Post - Slumber Party!!

Hello World.. well the blogging world that is!!  It is my hope to share with you a little piece of my interests, and in turn, hear some of your feedback on my interests.  I love to throw a good party, so I will share with you my first "Shenanigan" - The slumber party that I threw last year for my daughters 9th Birthday.

The Party Invitation
I don't know photoshop that well at all, so with a simple print master program, I was able to create a little sleeping bag.  The pillow slides out with all of the party details inside (too cute)

The Decor
The highlight of the decor was the table bed that I created very easily with just a bed sheet, some pillows and some tulle.  It made the table look like a princess bed.  I got the idea for decorating the bed from Snowy Bliss

Sundae Bar
No slumber party would be complete without ample amounts of junk food!!  A sundae bar with all the fixings was prepared the the little slumber party goers.

Party Games & Crafts
To keep the little girls occupied during the party, we made flip flops, drew night scene pictures with glow in the dark gel pens on black paper, and of course, played TWISTER!!

One of the easiest decorations that I made were the streamers with a twist.  I got the idea from Oh Happy Day website, and they turned out GREAT.  Here is how I  made them...
